Terenzi Viognier Montedonico

Terenzi is a dynamic winery, which has, in a complex and competitive region such as Tuscany, rapidly leapfrogged through many stages, quickly winning consensus in Italy and abroad, while keeping intact the desire to experiment, to bring each label to its maximum qualitative and territorial expression. The winery managed by the three young siblings Federico, Balbino and Francesca Romana, now has 150 hectares of property, 60 of which are vineyards and 14 splendid centuries-old olive trees. A 3000 m2 cellar, the beating heart of the winery, built in harmony with the landscape, without forfeiting cutting-edge technologies aimed at absolute quality and respect for the environment.

A splendid Viognier, a rare international white grape of Rhone origin, demonstrates the winery’s constant experimental nature. A viognier vinified only in steel, with a freshness and minerality that make this interpretation of a noble grape variety and the territory that hosts it, unique. Because if Montedonico includes the mineral straightness of the lands of origin, at the same time it acquires a clearly Mediterranean flavour and structure (also thanks to the purely calcareous soil, however), which combine amazingly with the natural opulence of the variety.

Intense straw-yellow, on the nose Montedonico has a brilliant aromatic aroma, with hints of apricot and very floral pear which envelop you in elegance and intensity. On the palate it is fresh and enveloping with hints of citrus fruits, hay and aromatic herbs. It goes well with various fish dishes, unseasoned cheeses and delicate fish-based pastas.
