Podere Ranieri Toscana Rosso Solo Merlot

Merlot is the most difficult grape to harvest in Maremma. In very hot summers, with little or no rainfall, it suffers a lot and is unable to benefit from the typical rainfall of the end of August, and from the first drops in temperatures. For this reason, a perfect season is needed, with a harsh winter, a fresh and rainy spring and a temperate summer to obtain healthy and ripe grapes, with a good balance between sugars and acidity. But in these vintages the result can leave you breathless.
