Review

The Phincas wine comes from the vineyards that are not dedicated to the elaboration of the other wines of the winery, wines of more limited production (Phincalali, Phincaabejera, Thousand Milks): Revilla, Tajo, Pisón, Valdegamarra and Ribartayo, vineyards located from 350 At an altitude of 600 meters, in the southern area of Elvillar, on clay, calcareous, sandy, ferrous and alluvial soils of pebbles.

Phincas is composed of 70% Tempranillo, 15% Graciano, 10% Grenache and 5% Viura. The use of white grapes for the production of red wines was common in the past in some areas such as La Rioja, among others, and something that some producers, like David, are recovering.

The elaboration takes place in dodecahedron deposits, which by their shape create internal convention currents that help the maceration and extraction of the components of the grape; In addition, after the fermentation, the hat sinks alone and this improves the maceration. Once pressed, the wine enters barrels, 50% of which are 400 liters and 50% barrels of 228 liters of two and three wines. The wine ages for two winters and a transfer takes place after nine months to gather the wine from the different terroirs. At 12-14 months the wine is stabilized in the dodecahedron tanks, filtered slightly and bottled.

Soft and easy.

Deep ruby, marshmallow soft fruit ,fine aromas of ripe red fruits with vanilla oak. Lush and easy on the palate. Very drinkable.
