The wine

From the name of an Etruscan settlement of ancient origin, Hebo refers to the historical roots of Suvereto, and indeed it represents, in the Petra range, a homage to the territoriality of the Val di Cornia, where the international grapes, in osmosis with Sangiovese, boast a long history and are not your Johnny-come-lately. It is produced with a classic assembly of cabernet sauvignon, merlot and sangiovese, vines introduced in the area by Elisa Bonaparte Baciocchi, princess of Piombino since 1805 and enlightened woman of wine.

What does this wine taste like?

Ruby red, the bouquet reveals fresh hints of black cherries, violets, blueberries, peonies, mineral hints and nuances of Mediterranean scrub. On the palate the wine is fresh, sapid, with a slender body, pleasantly fruity, subtle in its sapidity and with balanced and gentle tannins.

Wine critics reviewsReviews by Parker and Suckling

Established in 2011, Suvereto is a relatively new DOCG wine appellation found along the Tuscan Coast. The 2015 Suvereto Hebo is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sangiovese. This is a dark and nicely concentrated Tuscan red, yet at the same time, it remains accessible and versatile in terms of its food pairing potential. It is a pleasure to drink. The wine imparts dark and soothing flavors of dark berry, dried cherry and exotic spice.

Aromas of mulberries, red plums, stewed tomatoes, tobacco and earth. It’s medium-bodied with round tannins. Fresh, juicy and savory with a flavorful finish. Drink now or hold.
