Wine critics reviewsReviews by Parker and Jancis Robinson

The pure Cinsault 2019 Imaginador is only 12% alcohol (his lowest ever) and has an elegant profile with red fruit and an earthy and mineral character. It was produced with fruit from five vineyards in the village of Guarilihue on granite soils that are worked by horse and with no synthetic chemicals. It fermented with 60% full clusters and indigenous yeasts at low temperatures for 10-14 days, with one week maceration. The wine matured in oak and concrete vats for 10 months. There is a smoky and flinty twist here where the base aromas are similar to the other wines—watermelon, rose petals, pomegranate and all things red, floral and ethereal. It's sharp and mineral, with finesse, perhaps without the depth of the crus but with all the rest. This is Parra's favorite wine, the "Chambolle-Musigny" from sandy soils. Highly drinkable and with grip. 16,580 bottles were filled in February 2020.

Pale, vibrant purple-tinged ruby. Some funky, meaty reduction, but this clears away to reveal a very delicate, rose-scented nose with wet stones and flint minerality, and a touch of herbal lift from the stems. Crisp, delicate and light bodied, with filigree tannins and cranberry fruit. A saline tang on the stony, minerally finish. Its elegance is quite a contrast to the fuller, spicier 2017.
