Philip is an extraordinary wine created to celebrate the great ancestor of the Mazzei family, Filippo Mazzei. This wine expresses the desire of the Mazzei family to represent the revolutionary character of Filippo Mazzei, and it does so by creating a wine that represents the spirit of the "New World" of Tuscan winemaking. It is a blend of the best Cabernet Sauvignon grapes carefully selected by the Mazzei property and coming from Castello di Fonterutoli (the historic structure in Chianti Classico, where wines have been produced since 1435) and Tenuta Belguardo, acquired at the end of 1990, among the rolling hills of the Maremma, which presents a perfect terroir for the production of Cabernet.

Philip is a typically Tuscan wine that combines the scent and elegance of the wines produced in the Chianti Classico area with the opulence and power of Maremma wines.
