Review

A blend of Syrah and Merlot, with Syrah predominant, a grape variety that adapts very well to areas with a dry Mediterranean climate, clay and chalk-based soils, capable of giving rise to well-structured wines of fine maturity. Since the 2006 vintage, it has fallen under the Uclés Denomination of Origin.

NOTE: Decanting is recommended before serving.

A dark, ripe cherry colour, almost opaque, the wine displays smoky aromas on the nose, of black olives, violets and balsamic hints. Succulent on the palate, it has smooth but marked tannins.

Aged in oak barrels for 8 months and afterwards for 4 more months in bottle.

Food pairing

Meat casseroles / Roast pigeon / Roasted peppers

Quality wine

A very impressive blend with smoothness from the Merlot and full bodied flavour from the Syrah .My second wine tried from this producer and both have been delicious .

The winery buildings are perfectly in keeping with the surrounding countryside, and architecturally designed to feature the Mudejar style brickwork, typically found in La Mancha. The 238 hectares are divided up into plantations of mostly Tempranillo (106), Merlot (32), Syrah (8), Airén, Macabeo...
