The wine

The site is a pretty village nestled in a small valley north of Beaune. The vineyard extends over two hills of different exposure, north and south. The soil is a complex mixture of limestone pebbles, red, ocher or brown clay, and scree. Organic cultivation since 1990 then biodynamic a few years later. A delicate and elegant wine. The nose reveals spicy notes of violet, quite characteristic of this terroir, and wild blackberries. On the palate, a lot of finesse and refinement, suppleness. A long and subtly delicious persistence. Deep red color. Intense nose of red and black fruits. Fleshy palate, some sap. Nice length. Very long aging potential for prestigious wines. Very greedy for more modest wines. Serving temperature: 16 ° C. Consumption: 5 to 20 years.
