The wine

A well-known prehistoric site, this finage, a little away from the villages of the Côte de Beaune, has, at the foot of its cliffs, a small vineyard installed on very well exposed limestone. History & tradition: perched at an altitude of 400 meters, this is one of the highest vineyards on the coast. The soil: clay-limestone. A wine of great typicity, which makes its terroir speak. A pretty white gold shade sometimes tinged with green reflections. Very fine aromas of white flowers (honeysuckle) and ripe fruit (plums), evolving towards notes of honey and gingerbread. The attack is lively and fresh, then comes the roundness. The mineral "pebble" tone gives the marked character of Saint-Romain. Vintage 2017 expresses all the elegance of our white grape varieties. The wines are floral with citrus notes. Round, very balanced, they are attractive. A very good vintage. Serving temperature: 13 ° C. Consumption: 2 to 5 years.
