The wine

Active from 1967, Stefano Inama's winery is enjoying great success and is currently among the most popular Soave wineries. It has a beautiful terrace vineyard on Monte Foscarino, one of the denomination's most significant crus. It also works well in the Berici Hills. The Soave vineyard, on basaltic soils of volcanic origin, is obviously dedicated to the Garganega and is grown using the traditional Veronese pergola. While on the Berici Hills, Stefano Inama gives vent to his red-wine creativity, working the Carmenère in symbiosis with those clay soils.

Inama is an organic company, whose labels are inspired by beautiful sixteenth and seventeenth century prints. The wines are extremely territorial, from the rich and tasty sapidity of the Soave Vin Soave to the more soft and refined Vigneti di Foscarino. The role of international grape varieties, which in the Soave district undergo a sensational volcanic interpretation, starting with the Sauvignon Vulcaia Fumé, is decisive. The red wines, from the Berici Hills, are striking for their elegance and warmth, from the more rustic and decisive Carmenère Più to the Bradisismo, with its sweeter and smoother tannins, and its crispy and lively fruit taste.

With regard to Carmenère, Carminium is the new born of the Inama house. An amazing Colli Berici DOC wine that pays homage to one of the Italian terroirs in which the Bordeaux child returns the most extraordinary results. Carminium, made from only grapes grown in the Oratorio di San Lorenzo area, represents an immediate approach to Carmenere in its single-variety form, without neglecting complexity and finesse. The clays created by the woods of this incredible place, preserved almost in the wild, express a unique wine. Dark red colour with blue-violet reflections. It is intense, with aromas of aromatic herbs and spices, dark fruit and velvety tannins. 12 months in barrique, 20% new and 80% used, make it in all respects an intriguing reserve, with a sumptuous but tense and satisfying taste, perfect accompanied with a mixed grill, a nice roasted pig or a delicious cutting board of meats and cheeses.
