Review
Jo is a red of extraordinary personality, an elegant and powerfully territorial wine, of a dark ruby colour with sparkling reflections. The aromatic range is rich and lush, with clear hints of Mediterranean scrub, myrtle, thyme, marjoram, oregano, wild caper, crisp red fruit and a pinch of saltiness to remember the proximity to the sea of the vineyards.
On the palate initially it has a soft attack that is soon balanced by the acid/sapid hardness of Negroamaro, which, thanks to a well-defined tannin, continues the elegant effect on the palate. A wine that reflects the frankness and determination of the unmistakable style of Gianfranco Fino, one of the most refined and multifaceted winemakers in Salento. A wine that expresses his typical opulent and powerful language, with rustic features, without foregoing in to elegance, class and generosity.
Sapid, of an almost marine persistence, which defines the unique contours of a unique terroir like that of the Manduria area. An excellent whole meal wine, it goes perfectly with the rich traditional Salento dishes, from homemade pasta to meatball sauce. Tasty served on lamb or on the typical "gnomerelli", offal rolls tied with gut.
