Details for Collavini Merlot di Casa 2018
Review
The Collavini family is one of the founders of modern viticulture in Friuli Venezia Giulia. An historical winery, the property has gradually extended to the best crus of the Colli Orientali and Collio, including a beautiful residence in Rosazzo. Among the first to believe in the potential of Ribolla, today the Collavini family also works with many suppliers and offers, starting with the excellent Broy, a respectable range which is fantastic value for money.
From the ruby red colour with slightly garnet shades, the Merlot di Casa is vinous, a little herbaceous, recalling raspberry and wild blackberry. A dry taste, complex and soft, with well-controlled tannins and strong aromatic persistence. Wine for roasts, fried and stewed white meats, in particular rabbit, poultry, veal and pork. Friulian cuisine? Perfect with rabbit loin with aromatic herbs.
