The wine

This very old growth of 5.5 hectares at the foot of the south coast of Saint-Emilion, and whose origin dates back to the 18th century, was an integral part of Château Angelus between 1946 and 1985. Since 2005, Hélène de Boüard Grenié took over the exploitation of the estate in the hands of his father. It applies the methods in force at Château Angélus, of which it is co-owner. The name of Daugay comes from the jay, a bird well known on the southern slopes of Saint-Emilion which was called "daougay" in patois.
