A reserve produced for the first time in 1888 and only 40 times since then. Three years in large Slavonian oak barrels, it is undoubtedly one of the longest-lived reds in the world. And it is not surprising that the protagonist of this work of art is his majesty the Sangiovese.
Intense and brilliant ruby red color; the nose is very intense and incredibly wide: hints of dried rose and vanilla follow the fruity aromas of undergrowth and notes of eucalyptus. In the mouth the taste-olfactory correspondence is exemplary. The sensation of astringency of the tannin is very fine and invites you to drink, corroborated by warmth and flavor. Excellent pairing with roasted game, delicious to accompany a snack based on Parmigiano Reggiano or aged pecorino.
