Ángeles de Amaren came into being in honour of the mother of Juan Luís Cañas, the winery’s owner and manager.
Made from grapevines aged over 40 years old, this is a limited production wine which reflects the area’s particular essence.
Each variety has gone through production and been aged separately, in order to preserve the fruitiness of the Tempranillo and the spiciness of the Graciano.
Aged for 16 months in new French (50%) and American (50%) oak barrels.

good solid rioja
good solid rioja, medium to full bodied, cherries and spice, vanilla and oak, touch of liquorice, not as good as the 2012 but still a very good drop, specially for the price. lovely!!!
Excellent wine from a good producer, for a crianza the wine has good length with rich soft and rounded flavour
Full bodied Crizana
A fully bodied and oaky Rioja rather than light and fruity. Nice and great quality.
Amaren started up in the year of the 1995 harvest in honour of Ángeles, the mother of Juan Luís Cañas, the owner and manager of Bodegas Luís Cañas. They own 22 hectares of vines...
