Tasca d'Almerita

Tasca d'Almerita is a prestigious Sicilian winery with a history dating back to 1830. Founded by the Tasca family, this winery has been a benchmark in the production of high quality wines for over 200 years. The Tasca family has managed the Regaleali estate, located in the mountainous centre of Sicily, where several varieties of local and international grapes are grown on approximately 600 hectares of vineyards.

The main estate, Tenuta Regaleali, is known for its biodiversity and the variety of its soils, which provide an ideal environment for growing grapes. Among the varieties grown are Nero d'Avola, Nerello Mascalese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Moscato..

In addition to Regaleali, Tasca d'Almerita manages four other estates in Sicily: Tascante on Etna, Capofaro on the island of Salina, Whitaker in Mozia and Sallier de La Tour in Monreale. Each of these estates brings unique characteristics and contributes to the diversity and quality of the wines produced by the winery.

Tasca d'Almerita has been recognised for its commitment to sustainability, being the first winery to receive the VIVA/SOStain certification in Sicily and also the prestigious ‘Robert Parker Green Emblem’ for its dedication to sustainable winemaking practices.
