Tramin's Gewürztraminer Spätlese Epokale is golden yellow in color. The scents are intense and inebriating, with varietal notes of roses, lavender, ripe yellow exotic fruit, watermelon, mango, maracuja, lychee which soon leave room for an important spicy profile with notes of cloves, sage, ginger, saffron, cinnamon and nutmeg. On the palate it is a wine of immense depth and structure. Powerful, but at the same time elegant and graceful, characterized by a strong mineral note. The generous sugary residue finds its balance in a decisive freshness, to give perfect harmony. Excellent long persistence. It goes well with classic alpine desserts such as apple strudel. Excellent also paired with savory dishes, in particular prepared with spicy and sweet components, such as Venison with alpine spices, pear and cranberry jam.
