The second vintage of the light red 2019 Malvasía Rosada was produced with 95% Malvasía Rosada, a grape that was almost extinct given its light color, and 5% Negramoll from a recently planted vineyard in the Hacienda Las Cañas. The full clusters fermented in a plastic bin with indigenous yeasts, and the wine matured in a single-used 225-liter oak cask for nine months. This wine is the lowest in alcohol, with only 10.6%, and it has a pH of 3.5 and 5.7 grams of acidity. This comes from young vines, and there is an herbal side to it; it's also balsamic and medicinal. It's not terribly complex, but it's pleasant and quite original. Only 290 bottles were produced. It was bottled in August 2020.
