Following the ancient tradition, the Barolo Riserva Mirafiore is produced by combining wines from different owned vineyards. The choice of vineyards can vary according to the characteristics of the vintage. Assembly takes place as soon as the malolactic fermentation is finished. The long maceration and the reduced decanting carried out during the refinement allow to anticipate the development of tertiary aromas even before bottling. The search for the correct polyphenolic maturation in the vineyard allows the extraction of large quantities of sweet tannins which at the end of the refinement present themselves in the mouth with a dense silky texture.
The color is garnet red, of good intensity. The perfume is reminiscent of spices such as absinthe, cocoa and mint, black cherries, leather and dried mushrooms. In the mouth it is an important wine, with a sweet, velvety entrance and a long, warm and enveloping finish.
