La Poderina Rosso di Montalcino

La Poderina is located in Montalcino in the Castelnuovo dell'Abate area: a small and select area, on the southern slope of the appellation, known for the elegance, finesse and balance of its grapes. Owned by the Tenute del Cerro, the Poderina adopts modern wine-growing and winemaking techniques, but in full respect of tradition and sustainability. Indeed, for the Brunello and the Rosso di Montalcino, the scenario is modernist: in ageing, large barrels are combined with barrique. The Rosso di Montalcino, always one of the best value for quality choices, has a beautiful clear ruby ​​red colour. The nose evokes lively red fruits, pomegranate, dog rose, and also offers echoes - deeper and more advanced - of tobacco and chocolate, with vanilla puffs. A small Brunello, basically. On the palate it is fresh and with a lively tannin but which is integrated in the elegant structure.
