The Harmonium is the successful synthesis between the power of Nero d'Avola and the Firriato style. The goal was to create a "cru dei cru" that offered all the expressions of the richness of such an eclectic grape. After 15 years of analysis and micro-vinification, Firriato has identified, in the 165 hectares of Borgo Guarini, the three different crus of Ferla, Lepre and Beccaccia, to breed vines obtained from three different mass selections of Nero d'Avola. The complexity of the soil and climatic conditions made it possible to highlight the different organoleptic characteristics of the three Single Vineyards. The Harmonium grapes are harvested in different harvest periods because they have different ripening and are vinified separately to join in a blend that has made the history of this identity label.

serious nero d'avola but needs time
Bright deep red. Classic Italianate nose - almonds and macerated cherries, ripe, dense, still showing oak, some cloves/spice on finish, a big wine but still quite tannic and tight and am sure will be better in 5 years. Bigger and more ambitious than the Gulfi 2013/2012 but much younger.
