Castello di Bossi Toscana Rosso Corbaia

Its Corbaia wine, definitely one of the firm's most emblematic, arises from an exceptional vineyard that's more than 40 years old, lying in a sunny position and at some 350 metres above sea level.

Corbaia is a magnificent blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet aged for 2 years in French oak barrels and spending a further year of repose in bottle. Undergoing a vinification very much in keeping with local tradition, Corbaia is a true example of the great concentration found in Tuscany, as seems to be predicted right from the ruby colour it exhibits in the glass.

It has a powerful nose, exuding aromas of jam, but also spices such as cinnamon and black pepper, toasty notes of cocoa and also animal suggestions of leather and skins. On the palate it gets even better and displays its charms with elegance and powerfulness, revealing clean, enveloping tannins, an excellent flavour and a lively freshness. A wine of remarkable longevity, it's ideal to pair up with fine cheeses and elaborate game dishes.
