Castello di Ama San Lorenzo takes its name from the splendid valley overlooked by the eighteenth-century villas Pianigiani and Ricucci and is obtained from grapes coming exclusively from owned vineyards, specifically represented by old plants and vineyards over 10 years old. The Gran Selezione is the top of the qualitative pyramid of the Chianti Classico denomination and is a guarantee for the consumer, both in terms of origin and quality. The production regulations require that the grapes are entirely produced on the farm and that the wine is placed on the market after 30 months of aging.
Pure ruby red, it expresses a fruity nose with hints of cherry and strawberry, to which is added some hints of tertiary note reminiscent of leather. In the mouth emerges a beautiful ripe red fruit, succulent, intriguing and persistent. The tannins are ripe and delicate in nature. The finish expresses a vivid freshness with notes of dark red berry fruit, wet earth and woods.
