The word "Vign'Angena" in the Gallura dialect means "vineyard of others or foreign": this name had been chosen because initially it was produced with grapes from vineyards under management, which today, however, are owned. The Arzachena Winery is growing, but it holds limited quantities and places craftsmanship as shining lights of the production philosophy. It is, moreover, due to this company, governed majestically by the Ragnedda brothers, who are responsible for the growing strength of the Vermentino di Gallura, that the wine is the most important and appreciated white on the island.

Of pale straw-yellow in colour and of great clarity, the Vermentino DOCG of Capichera stands out for personality and character, without yielding to aromatic and structural excesses. It is, to all effects, a characteristic Vermentino, which expresses a rich and complex bouquet of hawthorn, iris, broom, jasmine and orange blossom. The mineral backbone is a continuous counterpoint to this floral and fruity palette, rightly rounded off by some hints of pear and peach.

The taste is fresh, broad, complex and enveloping, vertical and lively in its beautiful flavour. With a good body, it has a fulfilling fruity finish. Excellent for any meal, from the most demanding aperitif lovers. It is gorgeous accompanied with any fish-based dishes, and distinguishes itself with crustaceans, even with rich pasta sauces, including a classic: malloreddus.
