The wine

There are wines that are not made on flat land.

They are built uphill.

Regina Viarum Godello is born in the Ribeira Sacra, in impossible vineyards that defy logic —45-degree slopes, almost a drop, hanging down slate hillsides above the River Sil. There is no mechanisation or shortcuts here: there are extreme slopes, manual harvesting and viticulture that demands time, effort and conviction. It is not called heroic viticulture for nothing.

This Godello is the direct result of that landscape. From hand-tended vines, individually selected orientations, and a way of understanding wine where the origin is not softened: it is respected.

In the winery, intervention is minimal and precise. Controlled fermentation, work on lees and patience to allow the wine to find its natural balance. The result is a white wine with body, texture and freshness, which does not shout but does not go unnoticed either. What can you expect in your glass? Ripe white fruit, hints of citrus, flowers and a mineral background that refers directly to the slate of the Ribeira Sacra. On the palate, it is full-bodied and silky, with well-integrated acidity and a slightly bitter finish that lingers and invites another sip. A gastronomic Godello, serious but accessible, perfect for those looking for whites with soul and terroir.
