Rizzi

Thanks to the constant expansion of the number of vineyards it owns, the Rizzi winery is currently one of the most important ones in Barbaresco. The company, run by the Dellapiana family, has combined this growth with a production based on top quality wines. Their decision to move to organic cultivation methods in 2015 has resulted in a range of wines which are among the most prestigious ones in the region.

Jole and Enrico, daughter and son of founder Ernesto Dellapiana, are behind the current success of the winery. With their consistency and innovative spirit, they are improving on winemaking traditions to produce wines which express the personality of the terroir and offer excellent value for money. The winery's vines grow on the hill which it is named after, Rizzi, in the Barbaresco appellation. Divided between the Nervo and Pajorè crus, whose diverse features guarantee a territorial wine which reflects the characteristics of each different vintage.

The Barbaresco Rizzi is the most classical wine they produce. It is an authentic Nebbiolo, delighting the drinker with its beautiful ruby colour and maroon hints. Notes of red fruit jam evolve towards more intriguing and deeper spicy aromas from a young age. A wine which is unusually easy to drink for a young Barbaresco, and offers great length and complexity, splendid tannins and a deep, unforgettable aftertaste.
