Pico Cuadro

The Pico Cuadro project got off the ground in 2003 when Felipe Castrillo, an oenologist with more than 10 years of experience, decided to set in motion his own venture which started as a dream shared with his sister Clara and his parents. It deploys a perfect combination of the more traditional techniques and the most modern advances in wine-making processes.

They own 22 hectares of vineyards, spread out among 27 different plots, which enables them to harvest on an individual basis, staggered and when it best suits the various parcels, in order to maximise their potential. The harvesting of the grapes is carried out manually and depending upon the conditions of health and maturity prevalent in each parcel. These bush vines are grown on poor soils and sandy level ground, and their average age is 50 years old, which endows them with character, singularity and some history.
