Miceli

The Miceli story is the typical one of a family wine grown in western Sicily. An area where for decades quantity has surpassed quality, from which only recently the most expert winegrowers have freed themselves. In the thirties Ignazio Miceli was a precursor of the turning point. He was the helmsman, who disembarked from the wine tanker ships that sold bulk wine in the hold from Castellammare to the world and opened a sales shop in Palermo. The recent history of the Micelis tells of a modern winery in Sciacca, a beautiful location in Palermo and spectacular vineyards in Pantelleria. All dedicated to the enhancement of the best Sicily has to offer, with flagship labels based on Nero d'Avola and on Zibibbo. Wines for the most diverse tastes, with a unique style which is never over the top.
