Merum Priorati

Lying outside the town of Porrera, to the east of the Priorat region, the vineyards of Merum Priorati enjoy all the attributes that this spectacular terrain can muster: steeply rugged mountain slopes opening up to reveal pockets of vines, seemingly clinging to but firmly entrenched in the famous fragmented slate llicorella soils. A primary concern for this winery, only too aware of how few privileged sites exist due to the complications of mountain-side terracing, has been to make the most of their parcels of land that enjoy the perfect combination of good soil and climatic conditions.
