Le Potazzine

Converted just a few years ago to organic, Tenuta Le Potazzine, founded in 1993 by Gigliola Giannetti, is focused on a historic vineyard in Le Prata, at an altitude of 500 metres above sea level. The challenge of a high-altitude Brunello, now that the company is among the most successful in the district, appears to have been met. The soil is rich in iron and clay, with alluvial pebbles that combined with the altitude confer finesse, character and verticality to the Sangiovese.

What is produced is a Brunello of a broad, multi-faceted, material but very elegant, bouquet, with a perfectly balanced taste, of dynamic acidity and snappy tannin. Sapid, mineral and vertical, this is a Brunello with very long prospects of aging, perfect and unforgettable in complexity and persistence. Fresh, balsamic, but also superbly juicy, the Rosso di Montalcino echoes the excellent emotions of Brunello, strong and loaded with 12 months of aging in wood.
