Künstler

The history of Weingut Künstler begins 80 km north of Vienna in the Czech Republic, where the family had their vineyards since 1648. Forced to leave after World War II, they settled in Hockenheim permanently in 1965. Their choice was not accidental, Hockenheim is the heart of the Rheingau; the most prestigious area for Riesling since the 17th century. Shakespeare and Thomas Jefferson were among its first admirers.

His wines, of extraordinary quality and character, have won the winery acceptance in 1994 among the VDP (German Association of Premium Wines) and he is now considered an artist among the nobility of the area.
