Cipressi

Claudio Cipressi is the principal winemaker at the helm of the rediscovery of Molise wine. Stubborn and punctual, since 1990 he can be defined as the Tintilia flag holder, the most representative red grape variety of the region. The soils, in the San Felice area, are calcareous-clayey and develop on an altitude of about 450 metres, with excellent diurnal variations that provide cleanliness and aromatic elegance to the grapes.

The always spectacular Tintilia 66 is coloured and tannic at the right level, discerningly refined for three years in small wood, but blazing is also the Settevigne, another Tintilia selection with thick tannins and elegant acidity, crunchy and fruity, from steel only. The Macchiarossa is legendary - again Tintilia - which is refined for 18 months in wood which gives it pulp and copious character. An independent winemaker who works with certified organic regime, Claudio Cipressi is certainly one of the most promising native voices on the Italian wine scene.
