The strength of a Champagne Maison lies in its ability to manage and ensure the quality of its raw materials. Maison Esterlin is located on a 116-hectare terroir, spread across 52 municipalities. Its cooperative winegrowers, committed and motivated, work exclusively to deliver the best to Champagne Esterlin. Over 70% of the vineyards are certified under VDC (Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne) and/or HVE (High Environmental Value), with 5 hectares certified organic or in conversion.
The sustainable viticulture label includes 125 measures covering the entire winemaking and cellar management process (viticulture, soil and vine nutrition, soil treatment and cleaning, sustainable farming, waste management). What sets Esterlin apart is its direct management of 12 hectares, of which 7.5 hectares are owned and certified sustainable. These vineyards, planted on clay-limestone soils typical of Champagne, allow for a wide diversity of styles and unique characteristics.
