Casale del Giglio

Casale del Giglio was founded in 1967 by Dr. Bernardino Santarelli in the Agro Pontino valley, a plain in the Lazio region hitherto lacking any wine-producing tradition.

Since the 1990s, Dr. Santarelli's son Antonio, following in his father's footsteps and with the help of the young winemaker Paolo Tiefenthaler, has developed an important research and experimental project for the production of quality wines. From this point on, the winery has become a reference point for all Lazio winemakers.

The models that have inspired the work of the Casale del Giglio team originated in the wineries of Bordeaux, Australia and California; for this reason the winery has given priority to the cultivation of international varieties. These varieties have adapted incredibly well to the Agro Pontino microclimate, strongly influenced by its proximity to the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Casale del Giglio is a winery in constant evolution, able to offer a wide-ranging catalogue of quality wines at an extremely good price / quality ratio.
