Bodegas López Cristóbal

An avid enthusiast of the countryside and viticulture, and a firm believer that great wines are only obtained from quality grapes, Santiago López decided to set up his own winery in conjunction with his wife, Lola Cristóbal, after several years of harvesting their crop for other wine-growers. So this is a small family-owned winery, with reinforcement now provided by their son, Galo López Cristóbal, who brings his own personal touch to the wines too.

They have 50 hectares of vineyards, divided into 9 parcels on clay-loam and calcareous soils, where they grow predominantly Tempranillo (48 ha), Merlot and Albillo.
