Details for Elio Altare Barolo Arborina 2014
Review
Arborina is a La Morra cru located in an area of loamy soils, rich in clay and sand, and with a southerly exposure to the sun. Elio Altare makes good use of this excellent location and climate to make a majestic Barolo, full of precision and harmony. Aged for 2 years in barrels, a third of them new, the wine attains a perfect balance between freshness and fullness. Close to garnet in colour, on the nose it releases notes of cherry jam, aromatic spices, tar and liquorice. A lovely complexity and elegance which we find again on the palate, with a silky texture and appealing intensity.
