The wine

A marvellous castle and over 200 hectares are the assets of Castello Monaci, an authentic pearl of Salento wine that speaks to the world. The vineyards are organically farmed and all the products are characterised by a dynamic, ready, direct and pleasant style, very close to the territory. The range is innovative and original, with Coribante being one of the most successful experiments.

It is an intriguing red wine for the symbiosis of the aromas and character of two grape varieties of great aromatic calibre: Shiraz, round and spicy, and Malvasia Nera from Lecce, dried to enhance its fruity and candied notes. The Shiraz is kept fresh and crunchy, while the Malvasia Nera undergoes a year-long refinement in barriques, which gives it body and fullness.

The name of the wine is inspired by the lively character of the coribanti, dancers who, to the rhythm of the tambourine, unleashed themselves in frenetic dances and pulsating music, transmitting warmth and energy in unparalleled harmony. And in fact we discover in the glass a full and dense red wine, with a full and energetic flavour, velvety and very persistent, balanced and extremely versatile at the table.
