In the large trebbiano family, the Abruzzese version is distinguished by the quality level, the nobility of the areas and longevity. The name derives from trebula, in Latin "farm", so the trebulanum was nothing more than "wine of thw town" or "simple wine". It is the most cultivated vine in the Abruzzo region. It gives wines of a straw-yellow colour, with fairly neutral aromas and quite delicate floral and fruity hints. On the palate it expresses acidity and sapidity, giving exciting tastes especially when it comes from the old vines of the hills of Abruzzo at the slopes of Majella. Splendid, in these versions, is the bitterish note, which softens a decisive structure destined to defy time.
