The wine
A greenish yellow colour with green flecks, this wine has a powerful nose that is clean and intense, with aromas of stoned fruit (peaches and apricots) and hints of exotic fruits (pineapple and paraguayo peaches) on a background of aniseed and mildly herbaceous notes. It comes over as dry, flavoursome and well-balanced on the palate, with a definite fleshiness and good structure. Offering a generous, fruit and herby finish, it ends on the pleasantly bitter final note that is so characteristic of the Verdejo variety.

Félix Sanz
Bodegas Félix Sanz operates from one of those unique wineries in the old quarter of Rueda that is built over ancient underground cellars dating back to at least the 15th Century. The winery was founded back in 1934, but a total modernisation of the installations and replanting of the vineyards more than 10 years ago gave a complete uplift.
