The wine

According to the historian Pliny, the ancient Egyptians and the Greeks identified the wine with the geographical area of production, which his contemporaries indicated in the "Pittacum" or in the "Tesserae". This ancient conception is at the basis of the concept of the so-called "historical" Denominations of Origin: the Piceno, that is the geographical area, is still identified today with the Rosso Piceno wine. This is contrasted by the theory that "the genius of wine lies in the grape variety": it is no coincidence that the two largest black grape varieties of central Italy, Sangiovese and Montepulciano are present in the Piceno area.

The Cervidoni is presented at the sight of a beautiful ruby red color with purple tones. The nose is fruity, reminiscent of cherry jam and light spiciness. Sapid body with good balance between tannins and alcoholic note, it has a good gustatory persistence with pleasant returns of ripe fruit. It also accompanies first courses with giblets, grilled farmyard meats, roast pork, medium-aged cheeses.
