The wine
A Brunello di Montalcino intense in color, deep red with bright ruby veins, as well as in aromas. To delight us is a complex bouquet but well defined in the notes of small black berried fruits and ripe plums, licorice, tobacco, cloves and balsamic herbs.
From the Sugarille vineyard, unique for the quality of the soil (stony rich in limestone and clay), exposure (south-west) and microclimate, a thoroughbred Brunello could only be born; a thoroughbred in which Sangiovese expresses itself in all its power; a full, structured and fine quality wine; a work of art to be preserved with care.

Pieve Santa Restituta
Acquired by Gaja in 1994, the Pieve Santa Restituta winery possesses 40 hectares of historic vineyards in the south-west of the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG.
