Mas Oncle Ernest is a small family estate of organic vines at the foot of Mont Ventoux in the southern French region of Provence. Currently run by the young and skilled winemaker Alexandre Roux, the winery was founded four generations ago by Ernest Gros. Closely linked to the local area, the winery produces an interesting selection of seductive and unique small production wines. With each plot vinified independently, Mas Oncle Ernest's wines offer an honest expression of their terroir and make the most of the aromatic potential of each grape variety used.
Mont Vetoux is considered to be one of the toughest climbs in the Tour de France, and the cyclist illustrated on the label of Le Petit Braquet pays homage to this, as well as the wine's name which refers to the gear ratio on a bicycle. A fresh wine, full of character, and ideal to enjoy among friends. A blend of Syrah and Grenache, it is a simple and extremely pleasant wine with delicious fruit flavours and hints of spices. On drinking it is fresh and lightly-structured in the mouth. To sum up, the perfect wine for drinking any day, at any time.
