The wine

Michet is a sublime and multifaceted expression of Nebbiolo. A pint-sized Barolo, one might say. In fact, although it does not belong to the Langhe's noblest appellation, it undergoes significant ageing in the cellar, which, for a small price, allows it to give all the grandiose potential of Nebbiolo.

It is aged in small oak barrels and blended in the traditional large Slavonian oak casks that contribute to its harmony and balance, enhancing the finesse of its bouquet.

What does this wine taste like?

The colour is ruby red, tending towards garnet. The bouquet combines the fruity scents of raspberry with the ethereal and spicy ones of violet and vanilla. The flavour is broad and well-balanced, with sweet tannins, which are never too prominent. There are delicate woody notes.

Food pairing

Given its structure, it is an excellent accompaniment to tasty antipasti, first courses with rich condiments, and roasted or stewed meats. It is an ideal companion for boards of cured meats and mature cheeses.

There is Ruvei, an amazing Barbera d'Alba, aged in large barrels as per usual, full, rich but...
