Kulín

A fortified wine made from Monastrell grapes originating from the Pago de los Almendros plot, on the Finca Usaldón estate in Villena, a terroir of calcareous soil covered with stones and pebbles and low in organic matter.

During the production process some apple brandy (an "orujo" from pressed apple residue) is added, made by the Casería San Juan del Opispo (Asturias) and aged for 9 years in French oak barrels. Powerful, flavoursome, well-balanced and with very well-integrated sweetness. Ideal for drinking on its own or accompanying all sorts of desserts and cheeses.

NOTE: The Rafa Bernabé wines have been produced with minimum intervention, vinified with hardly any handling and in the most natural way possible, without the addition of sulphur and with yeasts from the actual vineyard, and they have not been clarified or filtered. Such a natural production process can result in the wine showing some cloudiness or sediment, and specifically in some vintages more than others. It is therefore advisable to keep the bottle in an upright position for several hours before serving.
