The wine
What does this wine taste like?
It has a bright Picota cherry colour, and a perfumed nose with black fruit, scrub, and balsamic hints. A structured but balanced wine, with plentiful sweet tannins and mineral notes of sand and rock.

Winemaking
It is fermented, with whole bunches and local yeasts, in oak vats and then matures for eleven months in 600-litre oak barrels which have previously been used three or four times.
Vineyards
The Ponce PF Pie Franco is a single-variety Bobal wine of which only 12,000 bottles are made. The vines were planted by Ponce's grandfather eighty years ago in deep sandy soils — free from phylloxera.
