Wine critics reviewsReviews by Parker, Jancis Robinson, and Suckling

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2018 les Grands Chênes comes bounding out of the glass with exuberant notes of stewed black plums, warm cassis and boysenberries, plus suggestions of pencil shavings, wild sage and crushed rocks. The medium to full-bodied palate is packed with energetic, crunchy black fruits, supported by fine-grained tannins and tons of freshness, finishing with a compelling herbal lift.

— Lisa Perrotti-Brown (22/04/2021)Robert Parker Wine Advocate Vintage 2018 - 91 PARKER

Intense, concentrated nose promises more than the slightly sweet palate delivers. Yes, there is tannin at the end but not that much fruit concentration on the palate – just on the nose. This seems to be dressed up to look smarter than it actually is. And there's a bit of heat on the end.

— Jancis Robinson (19/01/2021)JancisRobinson.com Vintage 2018 - 15.5 JANCIS ROBINSON

A refined, balanced red with currant, chocolate and hazelnut character. What your really notice is the finesse and balance to the tannins, giving the wine length and composure. Lovely finish. Drinkable now, but better in 2022.
