The wine

A coupage of Monastrell (70%) with other varieties (Syrah, Merlot, Tempranillo and Cabernet), originating from the estate of the same name. On the nose it offers aromas of ripe red and black fruits, dark chocolate, and especially thyme plus other balsamic notes such as eucalyptus, rosemary and lavender. It also exhibits ageing notes which integrate the oak very well and add elegance overall. It is concentrated on the palate and confirms those ripe fruit aromas, contributing others, of wild herbs, damp earth, chalk and roasted notes. Refined and polished tannins, as well as a velvety texture, which confer considerable freshness.

NOTE: The Rafa Bernabé wines have been produced with minimum intervention, vinified with hardly any handling and in the most natural way possible, without the addition of sulphur and with yeasts from the actual vineyard, and they have not been clarified or filtered. Such a natural production process can result in the wine showing some cloudiness or sediment, and specifically in some vintages more than others. It is therefore advisable to keep the bottle in an upright position for several hours before serving.

It seems like a dream come true to be able to look out upon these vineyards, free of invasive urban development, where local...
