The wine
Argeles fits into the category of a genuinely fine example of Priorat wine. Easy on the palate, its initial impression is fresh and smooth, with a pleasant feeling of balance. This is a well-priced Priorat, providing a perfect introduction into what this region can offer.
It is produced from the native grape varieties Garnacha and Cariñena (with a small percentage of Cabernet), with fermentation at a controlled temperature in order to capture an expression of the primary aromas, followed by drawing off without over-extraction so as to obtain a wine suitable for drinking while still young.
Aged for 5 months in French oak barrels.
