The wine

Juvé y Camps Brut Rosé is a brut rosé cava made exclusively from the free-run juice of pinot noir grapes from the Espiells estate. There, sheltered by the mountains of Montserrat, the good Mediterranean climate favours the intensity of the red fruit aromas and the scarlet colour of the grapes, while the poor soils of sedimentary origin and a marked calcareous component are the key to expressing their most primary nature. In each glass of Brut Rosé you can perceive the purest essence of these vineyards, because despite being a less aged cava than others from Juvé y Camps, its smoothness and balance maximise the virtues of the pinot noir.

To the eye it seduces with its bright cherry red colour derived from the light maceration of the grapes and its beautiful effervescence. It has a noble varietal expression, characterised by notes of strawberries and red fruits of the forest, wrapped in nuances of honey, toasted bread and floral hints of rose petals. In the mouth it is intense, fresh and exuberant, with a medium structure and a very pleasant feel. The retronasal aromas of herbs and spicy notes so typical of the varietal, combined with the good load of fruit, invite you to continue drinking. It is very lively throughout, driven by a good acidity that rounds it off and enhances its aromas, leading to a long, harmonious and subtly bitter finish that allows it to accompany an infinite number of dishes of very different styles.

Juvé y Camps

The history of Juvé & Camps goes all the way back to 1796 when the meticulous and restless wine-grower Joan Juvé Mir laid the foundations of the company. Years later, in 1921, his grandson, Antoni Juvé Escaiola, together with his wife set up the underground installations at the winery in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia to begin production of the first sparkling wine under the label Juvé. In 1940 Josep and Joan Juvé Camps, the...
