Pujanza started up in 1998, yet it boasts a long family tradition both in vine cultivation and wine production, belonging to the San Pedro dynasty. Carlos San Pedro, its owner and technical director, has inherited this expertise and added his own merits: ambition moderated by patience and good judgment, and tempered by intuition and keen interest.
Located in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa in Laguardia, it possesses 18 hectares of differently aged Tempranillo vines, protected by the slopes of the Sierra de Cantabria, in the River Ebro valley. The land is divided into three parcels, Valdepoleo, El Norte and the Valcavada, where the fruit is nurtured to make the white Añadas Frías and the reds Finca Valdepoleo, Norte, Cisma and Hado.
With his industrious and diligent work ethic, Carlos San Pedro has joined forces with the Navascués family in Viñedos de Mancuso.
